Cape May Beach Patrol

Welcome! The Cape May Beach Patrol (CMBP) is a professional life-saving organization protecting the beaches of Cape May, New Jersey from June through September from 10 AM to 5:30 PM daily (5:00 PM before July 1st), as well as providing limited after hours guards who respond to emergency calls. Coordinating dozens of surf assists and rescues every year, as well as responding to medical emergencies and lost persons, the CMBP is a well-trained organization upholding a proud tradition of life-saving in South Jersey.

Important Notes:

  • Current Guards: There will be a group requalification swim test on Saturday, May 22 from 3 to 5 PM at the elementary school. If you do not attend this session you must contact Harry to set up another time.
  • 2010 Alumni Diner: Will be held on Monday August 2 at Congress Hall.  A refurbished Vansant Lifeguard Boat will be relaunched into the Atlantic to honor all of the men and women who have served the public as lifeguards on the Cape May Beach Patrol.  Details to follow shortly.
